This Privacy Policy describes how the User information is collected and used. The website, additionally to other events, products and services are here designated as “Services.”

The literature defines Personal Information as being associated to or include: Name, address, e-mail, phone, financial information, medical information, race, gender, religion, browsing history, search history, IP address, website interactions, geolocation data and professional data (CV, employment history), etc.

What is the information provided by You: It refers to the Personal Information that is collected whenever you disclose it in this Site, social media and/or share your data directly to me, either through contact forms, purchases, information requests, in-person sessions, or attendance in my courses and workshops, etc. Here in this Site, and also, in the in-person Services/sessions, the type of Personal Information that might be necessary to collect may vary – some are optional, others mandatory. It might be necessary for e.g.: name; e-mail; gender; phone; bank account number (only when you buy my products or services. apart from that, not needed); CV; employment history; educational background; health issues; behaviour and psychological traits; abilities, etc.
The information from the user is stored either electronically and/or in paper-based filing systems. In general, the data resultant from in-person sessions/consultancy are kept on paper-based storage only, whereas general and payment information is kept electronically for invoice purposes. Depending upon the specific Service the User is benefiting from, not all the User information is compulsory to successfully provide that Service in question, therefore, you may choose not to disclosure the optional information. Note that I do not have the power or capacity to guarantee that the user’s information circulating, via internet, is secured. Unfortunately, no-one can. Therefore, please be careful whenever sharing your data (even here at this site) and also please be aware that the transmission of the user’s information (personal and non-personal) is at the user’s own risk.
II.b. The information that is collected automatically by this Site platform (wordpress, wordpress plugins) and related: This Site is hosted by 1000 megabytes Lda. and based on WordPress platform. The latter allows me to offer my Services to the user. I do not hold responsibility for their changes in Terms, Privacy, breaches in security and/or any incorrections that may appear. Therefore, whenever using this Site you accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions required by the previously mentioned platforms. It is advisable the user checks regularly for WordPress Terms and General policies, in order be informed of eventual updates. When you visit this Site, the web server automatically collects and stores data for e.g.: your IP address, browser type and version, time zones, operating platforms, URL, the pages on this Site that you visited and its duration; etc. The Cookies on this Site are used to collect this type of information.

What they are and how they are used? A cookie is a text file sent to your browser and stored on whatever equipment you are using (computer’s hard drive, tablet, mobile phone). This Site uses cookies to personalise the User experience, remember user’s login status from a previous use of this site, target advertising, time/date of the Site visit, etc. To date (Mar.2024), the cookies used in this Site are basic and are determined in a default mode by the WordPress platform. No other finer user data processing is being conducted for analysis purposes. Note that statistical data is presented in aggregate form, and not individually, which means that there is no user identification, respecting users’ privacy. The information the user provides, directly, is used to: a) reply questions – sent to me by the user through different platforms (e.g. this Site contact forms; e-mails; WhatsApp messages; SMS; in-person events); b) provide the user with the Services they requested; c) create and send invoices for the Services the user bought; d) create and conduct the requirements arising from contracts made between the user and myself (e.g. neurolinguistic programming – NLP – or coaching sessions, where it is established a priori a contract, so that both parties have clarity on specific duties, rights and full clarity regarding the Service offered), or between the user and distributors (in the case you buy a product that requires shipping, for instance); e) contact the user in the future, if they so wish and agree to, in order to provide information about other/new products and services offered; f) comply with applicable/new PT and EU laws and regulations; g) assure quality and document details on the user’s preferred products and services i.e. which ones were more acquired in relation to others; h) send the user feedback forms, for quality purposes and auscultate different opinions, preferences, future suggestions, etc. By providing your Information, you accept and agree to the above-mentioned purposes.
The information the software platforms collect whilst the user is browsing, is used to: a) provide targeted advertising and marketing services, when and where applicable; b) internal administration of the Site (data analysis; statistical; survey; troubleshooting); c) adjust the Site content layout according to the best format for the User mobile and/or computer browsing.
Note: the processing of this Information from users may be processed automatically (by the platforms in which this Site is supported/hosted). In the future, if it is plausible or useful to improve this Site experience to users, subcontracted entities (for example, IT or marketing professionals or data analysts) may be hired. To date (mar.2024), no such external entities were contracted to process any type of the users’ data. If such a scenario occurs, that reference will be updated here in this document. V. Do I share your Personal Information with any third parties?
No. Myself, Ana Maria Freitas, do not divulge any information, personal or not, to third parties. The Services offered in this Site and/or in-person are tailored to that specific user, for that specific time, and are kept confidential at all times. Disclosure of the user’s personal data would be contrary to the values and nature of myself and the Services offered. Exceptions: if I am put under a lawful duty to disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, national and/or EU-based (national security; law enforcement requirements; or similar) or in case it is required to protect the rights, property or safety of myself or my clients. Regarding the platforms WordPress and 1000 megabytes Lda., I do not have authority and/or responsibility on what those platforms share and to whom; and also in case of those platforms merges/acquisions with other companies, what is exported or not. It is clear they must follow the applicable PT and/or EU regulations, but I do not have any control over the efficiency of that; please be aware. Hence, you acknowledge all the above information whenever browsing this Site.
VI. Storage of the user Personal Information
The user’s personal and non-personal information will be kept for as long as necessary to continue to offer the user with Services, reply contact forms and/or whenever there is a constant interaction between myself and the client/user. Also, information necessary for legal claims or protection from complaints made by user/client, will be kept until legally required. Additionally, if PT or EU regulations enforce deletion of Personal data at a given time, I will follow those legal guidelines.
Regarding the e-mails, newsletters, WhatsApp marketing, etc. the user may unsubscribe from any of those simply by following the instructions. Please note a window of 30-45 days post-unsubscription is required to fully cease the promotional content sent to the user. Moreover, by unsubscribing from marketing/other communications, storage of user’s e-mail address will be kept, however separately, so as to impede future marketing contacts from being sent to that specific user.
VII. User rights regarding his/her/their Personal data
There are additional policies guidelines in compliance with legislation for the user’s rights. National Portuguese legislation for data protection rights states that after May, 28th 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) number 2016/679 from the European Parliament and the European Council, from 27 April, 27th 2016, was applied. The latter defines the treatment and protection given to personal data. Hence, the user has the right to: a) request access to a copy of the user’s individual Personal information; b) request Personal information inaccuracy rectification; c) under the applicable law, request limited processing or portability of your data, subject to the legally established conditions. Moreover, the user may present opposition to Personal information processing; d) know what Personal information is being collected, how it is being used, to whom it is being disclosed to and/or if that information is being sold to any third party; e) request Personal data complete elimination, according to the current law 67/98, from October, 26th, ratification by the law number 103/2015, from August, 24th. Exceptions include the data required to store for legal requirements and prevention.
